These Mantra Spinning Rings have the "Om Mani Padme Hung" Mantra engraved on the brass band section which one can spin. These spinning rings are in the same design as a Tibetan Prayer Wheel. The Om Mani Padme Hung Mantra is the mantra of Chenrezig Buddha, the Buddha of Compassion. This mantra is recited for the benefit of all sentient beings. Tibetan Buddhists believe that spinning the mantras will accumulate the same merit as reciting the mantras orally.
